Operations Manager

Operations Manager, Africa – Gauteng, South Africa

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager – Africa to lead and oversee operational delivery across Africa within the Oil & Gas, Mining, Power, and Industrial sectors.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing regional operations, driving project execution excellence, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and supporting strategic business growth across the Africa Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage all Africa operations projects and field execution teams
• Oversee Project Managers, Site Managers, Team Leaders, and Technical Teams
• Manage project mobilization, execution, reporting, and close-out
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and operational standards
• Drive resource planning, workforce utilization, and equipment coordination
• Support commercial operations, proposals, RFQs, and project risk assessments
• Act as a key liaison between operations, sales, and clients
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify growth opportunities
• Manage project budgets, schedules, costs, and operational performance
• Support technical execution across TS, CETEK, Mechanical, and Environmental projects
Requirements:
Engineering Diploma/Degree (Mechanical preferred)
5–10 years’ experience in Operations Management
5+ years’ site-based project management experience
Experience managing technical teams across industrial projects
Strong understanding of project execution, safety, and commercial operations
Experience within Oil & Gas, Mining, or Power industries preferred
Willingness to travel extensively across Africa and internationally
